Local Artists and Musicians Sponsor Art and Music Festival to raise awareness
This Saturday, the Students Against ASARCO (SAA) is hosting an Art and Music Festival to raise awareness regarding ASARCO’s upcoming permit renewal hearing.
Students Against ASARCO spokesperson, Summer Luciano said, “We put together this Art and Music Festival because ASARCO is an issue which affects the entire community and what better way to bring a community together than through art and music?” She said, “The fifteen artists and musicians who came together to sponsor this event are only a small segment of the many individuals and groups who oppose ASARCO, but have yet to be heard.” She urges community members to come to the Art & Music Festival Saturday, July 9th, 2005 2-9:00 p.m.
In addition to local artists who will be exhibiting their work, live music from The Vamppyrates, Far From Stereo, Hot Rod Boogie, Atomic Pink, El Camino, and Fixed Idea will be ongoing throughout the afternoon and evening. |
